The Licensing Authority advises all companies and business owners that, with immediate effect, only duly authorised persons will be permitted to transfer ownership of a motor vehicle registered in the name of a business entity.
For incorporated companies, transfers may only be executed by a Director, the Company Secretary, or a person formally authorised in writing by the company.
For partnerships and sole traders, the registered owner or a person authorised in writing must attend and present valid identification and a written authorisation.
Businesses are reminded that drivers, employees, or agents will not be permitted to complete ownership transfers without proper written authority. Applications submitted without the required documentation will be refused.
This measure is intended to safeguard businesses, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of the national vehicle registration system.
